Advance your carving skills; learn from a master carver
 
Bob Guge is known around the world as a five-time Ward World Championship winner. He is teaching the carving and painting of a Northern Cardinal either in “sleek”summer or “puffy” winter posture in conjunction with the exposition.

This five-day class is scheduled for January 25-29, 2010 - $395.

Josh Guge has recently become a double World Champion fish carver with his saltwater reef pieces at the Fish Carving World Championships. He and his father, Bob, have recently begun the Guge Institute of Wildlife Art.

This is a five-day class running from January 25th to the 29th, 2010 - $325.

Desiree Hajny is famous for her beautiful and ornate carvings of mammals.
Named Carver of the Year by Woodcarving Illustrated, she has won many awards celebrating the creativity in her woodcarvings. Her students will create a Cougar & its Kitten.

This class runs from January 25-29, 2010 - $375.

Eldon Humphreys, a native of Canada who spends his winters in Naples, FL, is known as a caricature carver and a member of the Caricature Carvers of America. During this class students will be making Maestro, a caricature of a musical director

This is a three-day class beginning Jan. 25th, 2010 - $220.

Ernie Muehlmatt, a three-time Ward World Championsip Wildfowl winner, is known for his one-piece sculptures that have elevated carving to the art form of wood sculpture.

Ernie is teaching the carving and painting of a macaw in this four-day class running earlier than the others from Jan. 18th-21st, 2010 - $350.

All courses will be held at the Riverside Community Center, 3061 East Riverside, Ft. Myers, FL.

Directions: Exit 141 off I-75 (Palm Beach Blvd.) Go 3.9 mi. W to East Riverside Dr. At caution light & BP Sta, turn right and go .1 mi (that’s one-tenth) and Riverside is on the left.

COST: $75 deposit with registration and the entire balance due by December 1, 2009.
